Scottish Drugs Forum’s award-winning Addiction Worker Training Project (AWTP) is looking for people in Dumfries and Galloway to become trainee addiction workers.

The AWTP is a unique initiative which supports, trains, and prepares people with a history of drug and alcohol problems to work in Social Care.

We offer £8.21 per hour before deductions whilst you are learning and being trained, with a fixed term contract of 30 hours per week for 39 weeks.

Trainees undertake work placements in social care agencies and study towards an SVQ 2 in Social Services and Health Care.  Full training and a comprehensive package of support is provided.
