The Society for the Study of Addiction (SSA) have brought out an updated version of their extremely useful ebook entitled ‘Publishing Addiction Science’ – a comprehensive guide for addiction scientists – especially novice researchers – facing the complex process of publishing in scholarly journals.
Written by an international group of addiction science journal editors and their colleagues, Publishing Addiction Science: A guide for the perplexed tackles such issues as writing research articles and systematic reviews, choosing a journal, responding to reviewers’ reports, becoming a reviewer, and ethical issues in addiction science publishing.
It is suitable for university courses and also forms the basis of the training workshops offered by the International Society of Addiction Journal Editors (ISAJE).
The third edition features updated chapters enhanced by new training exercises and practical examples to illustrate the main points of each chapter. It also includes new material on the history of addiction science, careers in addiction science, and guidance for clinician-scientists.
