Voices of older people affected by a loved one’s substance use published

Adfam, the families and substance use charity, have published a new report which collates the voices and experiences of older people who are affected by a loved one’s substance use.

The document states that a family member’s substance use is a difficult thing for anyone to deal with, and getting older can exacerbate challenges that put a strain on anyone, at any age. Adfam have learnt a lot about the needs of these carers – the report shares that learning.

It will be useful for anyone working with this vulnerable and marginalised group.
