Do you have a history of addiction?
Live in Dumfries and Galloway?
Are you interested in developing a career helping others?
Then we would like to talk to YOU!
Scottish Drugs Forum’s award-winning Addiction Worker Training Project (AWTP) is looking for people in Dumfries and Galloway to become trainee addiction workers.
The AWTP is a unique initiative which supports, trains, and prepares people with a history of drug and alcohol problems to work in Social Care.
We offer £8.21 per hour before deductions whilst you are learning and being trained, with a fixed term contract of 30 hours per week for 39 weeks.
Trainees undertake work placements in social care agencies and study towards an SVQ 2 in Social Services and Health Care. Full training and a comprehensive package of support is provided.
If you are interested in developing a career in the drug and alcohol field, and you are either two years drug free (including substitute prescribing) or two years free of problematic alcohol use by the 26th of August 2019, we’d like to hear from you.
