We’re looking for new trainees for the Addiction Worker Training Project!

SDF are happy to announce that applications are now open for the Addiction Worker Training Project (AWTP) and Recovery Worker Training Project (RWTP).

We are currently looking for applicants for AWTP in Glasgow, East Ayrshire, Edinburgh, Borders, Fife, Argyll & Bute, North Lanarkshire; and in the Highlands for RWTP.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Scottish Drugs Forum’s award-winning Addiction Worker Training Project (AWTP) – a unique initiative which supports, trains, and prepares people with a history of drug and alcohol problems to work in Social Care.

We offer £9.50per hour before deductions with a fixed term contract of 30 hours per week for 39 weeks. Trainees will undertake work placements in social care agencies and will study towards an SVQ 2 in Social Services and Health Care.

Full training and a comprehensive package of support will be provided.
