We are incredibly saddened by the passing of Naomi Burke-Shyne, a passionate and principled leader in the global movement for human rights and harm reduction. As former Executive Director of Harm Reduction International, Naomi tirelessly advocated for the dignity and health of people who use drugs, advancing international drug policy rooted in compassion, evidence and justice. Her legacy will continue to guide and inspire all of us working for a fairer, more humane world. Our thoughts are with her loved ones and the many who were touched by her exceptional leadership and vision.
