Watch our new video

We were honoured to host a team from Drugreporter – the drug policy website of the Rights Reporter Foundation – at our annual #StopTheDeaths conference this summer.

Since 2004, Drugreporter has become an international hub for news, blogs and films about harm reduction and drug policy reform, producing hundreds of short documentaries aimed at education and advocacy.

Now, the Drugreporter team have produced a new film about the work that is taking place across Scotland to prevent drug-related deaths.

Stop The Deaths – Uniting Against Preventable Overdoses in Scotland features contributions from the Minister for Drug and Alcohol Policy and Sport, Elena Whitham MSP, Lynn MacDonald from The Thistle and representatives from Families Campaign For Change, to name a few.

We are grateful to Drugreporter for creating such a powerful film, which highlights both Scotland’s progress and the challenges that remain. From the opening of The Thistle, to the introduction of Medication Assisted Treatment standards and our world-leading naloxone distribution programme, the documentary captures a clear message: meaningful change is possible – but it must happen now.
