Amanda-Jane is a passionate Communications Worker at the Scottish Drugs Forum, providing key support to the organisation’s communications as part of the Policy & Communications Team. She plays a vital role in producing regular communications to engage with SDF’s members and stakeholders.
In her position, Amanda-Jane is responsible for maintaining an active social media presence, updating SDF’s websites, and creating video and photographic resources. She also supports the marketing and delivery of events, including a program of national conferences and webinars. Her contributions extend to the recruitment of volunteers and staff, as well as monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of SDF’s media and communication strategies.
Amanda-Jane studied TV Production and Media & Communications at college before graduating in 2019 with a First-Class degree in Media & Communications, where her dissertation focused on “The Impact of Social Media on the Mental Health and Self-Esteem of Young Women.” Her passion for media and communication, along with her hands-on experience in event planning, empowers her to effectively engage with diverse audiences and support SDF to advocate for positive change.
