Joan has been a senior part of the Local Support Team (LST) team since its inception in 2021. This work includes providing strategic direction to ensure good governance and long term viability of work programmes to support the Scottish Governments National Drugs Mission. The team take a person-centred approach to each organisation or project offering management expertise in a coaching and mentoring capacity to Boards, staff and volunteers. Financial sustainability is a key component of current work. 

Key Responsibilities:

– Designing programmes of work and testing interventions.

– Funding advice and supporting appropriate bid development

– Evaluation and monitoring of service impact

– Working alongside communities across Scotland to identify and promote development
