Kate Ainslie

Board Member

Since qualifying as a Mental Health Nurse, Kate has gained extensive knowledge and experience of working within drug and alcohol services. At present she is the service manager of a community based treatment team in NHS Borders, working closely with the local Alcohol & Drug Partnership to ensure that the needs of individuals affected by substance use are realistically and meaningfully met.

Kate became a qualified non-medical prescriber in 2017 and is currently embarking on a Master in Advanced Clinical Practice in Addictions. She is passionate about improving the experience of individuals engaging with drug and alcohol services; dedicated to the promotion of innovative practice and inclusion to progress rapid access to treatment and mitigate the likelihood of drug and alcohol related harm or death.
