Co-ordination and Development Officer, National Traineeship
Lynne supports trainees recruited to our award-winning National Traineeship, working to ensure that people with lived and living experience of drug and alcohol problems are represented in drug and alcohol service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
– Recruiting participants with experience of substance use to an award-winning programme of paid work placements, specialist training and vocational learning.
– Identifying, developing and maintaining partnerships with a range of organisations providing learning, training and development opportunities for trainees across Scotland.
– Reviewing and refining project delivery each year based on the experienced of trainees and delivery partners.
– Providing intensive support to people recruited to the programme and helping them realise and achieve their long-term employment aspirations.
Background
Lynne has an extensive voluntary sector background, supporting young people, families, and adults before finding her passion for working with people experiencing problems with their drug and alcohol use. Lynne holds an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and is a qualified SVQ Assessor. Lynne is an experienced Auricular Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist, and a National Assessor for NADA Scotland. Lynne also holds certificates in Indian Head Massage and Reiki.
