Mariebeth is SDF’s lead on the Scottish National Naloxone Programme and supports ADPs with drug death prevention. Mariebeth worked on the refresh of SDF’s document Staying Alive in Scotland which highlights drug death prevention best practice from a Scottish perspective.
Key responsibilities
– Developing and delivering Naloxone training across Scotland at all levels of the national programme
– Chairing the ScoNN network of health board leads every quarter.
– Supporting ADPs and national organisations with drug death prevention planning
– Delivering facilitated development sessions with stakeholders
Background
Mariebeth is a registered adult nurse graduating in Adult Nursing with distinction in 2010, she has experience nursing in drug and alcohol liaison within acute hospitals, Accident and Emergency and in Justice settings in Glasgow. Mariebeth has also nursed in the charitable and private sector. Mariebeth has spoken internationally on how to develop a national take home Naloxone programme.
