Patricia Tracey, Head of Alcohol and other Drugs has over 25 years’ experience in a variety of roles across homelessness and alcohol and other drugs services.
Patricia started her career at Turning Point Scotland in 1999 and developed in to her role as Service Manager at Glasgow Alcohol and other Drugs Crisis Service in 2009. During this time, she spent two years on secondment with Scottish Drug Forum as the National Development Officer Harm Reduction and Death Prevention, leading in the development of the Staying Alive Scotland Report and supported Alcohol and Drug Partnerships throughout Scotland with drug death prevention work.
In 2019, Patricia was appointed to her current role as Head of Alcohol and other Drugs at Turning Point Scotland. For six years, Patricia has been on the Board of Directors for Scottish Drugs Forum. Patricia’s expertise includes assertive outreach, harm reduction and initiatives to tackle Scotland’s drug death crisis while challenging stigma. Her experience in residential harm reduction services has provided a wealth of knowledge in a person cantered approach which underpins her practice.
