A paid opportunity to share your experience with MAT
The Scottish Drugs Forum Peer Research and engagement team is inviting people to share their experiences of accessing Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) – including methadone, Buvidal, Suboxone, Espranor, or prescribing for alcohol use.
Your insights will directly contribute to improving how MAT and wider support services are delivered locally and across Scotland.
Participants will receive a £20 thank you payment for their time. All interviews are confidential and anonymous, and are being carried out until February 2026.
We are looking to speak with:
- People in Argyll and Bute, East Dunbartonshire, Fife, and Highland who access support for alcohol or drug use
- Family members of people who are receiving MAT
By sharing your experience, you can help to ensure that the voices of people with lived and living experience – and their families – shape the future of treatment and support services across Scotland.
This research is being carried out in partnership with Argyll and Bute Alcohol and Drug Partnership, East Dunbartonshire Health and Social Care Partnership, Fife Alcohol and Drug Partnership, Highland Alcohol and Drug Partnership, and NHS Highland.
