Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership is currently consulting on proposals to open a safer drug consumption facility in the Old Town.
SDF strongly supports the introduction of this facility. We believe it is a practical, evidence-based response to a public health emergency that continues to cost lives.
As well as providing an organisational response to the consultation, we worked with members of our Edinburgh Living Experience Engagement Group and Buzz Magazine Peer Editorial Board to share a separate response from people with living and lived experience of substance use.
